Coincidence that this is happening before the halving?

The flush is nearly over!

Michael Sonnenshein (CEO of Grayscale Investments) stated on Wednesday that the firm's fund is beginning to stabilize its outflows, as reported by Reuters. He mentioned that this stabilization comes after a phase of considerable capital withdrawal propelled by switch trades and settlements arising from the bankruptcies of DCG, Genesis, FTX, etc.

There could still be a little bit of a bleed coming out because of their higher than normal fees, which Grayscale is talking about reducing their fees too.

In 62 trading days, Grayscale has bled over 303,000 Bitcoin - approximately half of their bag - which was sucked up with no problems.


"I was surprised, but I don't think it's traditional investors yet. I still think 90% of the flows are retail. You've had some Bitcoin whales and some other institutions move some assets in, but they were already exposed to Bitcoin," according to Jan van Eck, CEO ofΒ VanEck.Β 

Over the last 30 days, 90% of the flows are now retail.

  • If you exclude the BTC that has not moved in the last 3 years, it is 8.4% of the liquid supply

  • If you exclude the BTC that has not moved in the last year, it is 18.70% of the liquid supply - nearly 20 percent of liquid supply is now in the ETFs!
