NEW: 🇺🇸 BlackRock recently submitted a last-minute amendment to its application for a spot Bitcoin ETF.
In addition, WisdomTree Funds has recently submitted a fifth amendment to their S-1 filing for a Bitcoin ETF. In this latest update, they have appointed Jane Street as an authorized participant, who appears to be a recurring element in these developments.
Who is Jane Street?
Jane Street Capital: This is a global proprietary trading firm founded in 1999, known for its sophisticated quantitative analysis and technology. They act as market makers and liquidity providers, buying and selling a wide range of assets to ensure smooth pricing and efficient functioning of financial markets. They have offices in major financial centers like New York, London, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, and Singapore.
Franklin Templeton
Update: Franklin Templeton also filed an amended S-1 for their #Bitcoin ETF.
How is JP Morgan Involved?
Update: they are absolutely pouring in. @InvescoUS and @galaxyhq have filed an amended s-1 for their #bitcoin ETF and they DONT name Jane Street. Their APs are Virtu and JP Morgan.
Get This? How to Attract Investors?
Invesco and Galaxy have joined the race, and here's a significant update: they plan to waive fees for the first six months and for the initial $5 billion in assets. They've also named Virtu and JPMorgan as authorized participants. Another contender has entered. Isn't this exciting?
Bitwise Too!
Bitwise S-1 has been filed and it looks like someone (I wonder who) is going to seed $BITB with $200m, which blows away BlackRock's $10m (that we know of). That's gonna be huge help in early days of race. No AP named but prob forthcoming…
Is Coinbase Ready?
